My First Romance ~Pein Love Story~ Chapter 19

Days had past and everything was going good. Everyonce in a while you would think back to the day where you could have sworn Pein had winked at you.

If he did it was probably just in a friendly way. You thought to yourself with a frown growing on your face.

"Saffron-chan?" You heard Deidara say.

You break free from your trance and look up at him.

"Hn?"

"Leader-sama would like to see you in his office, yeah." Deidara said.

"Do you know why?" You asked getting up from the couch.

"No, un." He said.

"Oh okay. Well thanks for letting me know. See you in a few Deidara." You said as you walked out of the room and down the hall to Pein-sama's room.

You knocked on the door till you heard Pein say come in. You opened the door and stepped in. You turned around and shut the door lightly. When you turned around Pein was only a few steps in front of you.

Damn he's fast. You thought.

"You needed to see me Pein-sama?" You asked raising an eyebrow.

"Yes, we have a mission." He responded.

"Oh awesome! What is it?" You asked.

"You'll see."

"Okay just let me go get ready." You said as you opened the door and started to leave.

You were stopped by Pein's hand wrapped around your arm. You blushed a deep red.

"Uhm Pein-sama?" You said turning around.

"Don't worry about packing a lot of things, it's a short mission, and you won't get hurt I promise." He said smoothly which made your knee's go weak.

"Oh, o-okay." You managed to spit out as you tried your best not to collapse.

He released your arm gently and let you continue walking to your room. You got there and quickly shut the door behind you.

"HE TOUCHED ME!" You squealed at the top of your lungs.

You turned around to see your door wide open with Itachi stading in your doorway. He gives you a small smirk, and shakes his head.

"What?" You asked.

"Nothing...but...have fun on your mission." He said with a small chuckle.

"Wait, do you know what the mission is?" You asked him.

"Sure do, everyone does...but you." He said shutting the door.

You quickly got your things together and went to go find Itachi, you were gonna get it out of him whether he liked it or not. On your way to find Itachi you got lost. You had been here for forever it seemed and you still weren't used to how dark the hallways were, or where they lead too. You tripped over someone's feet. They were leaning against the wall with their feet crossed.

"Oh shit. Sorry!" You said as you stood up.

You looked to your right and saw that Pein was staring at you intently.

"L-Leader-sama..."

"Pein."

"P-Pein-sama."

"No just Pein."

"Oh...okay well Pein, I'm so sorry I didn't see you the-" You were cut off by being pushed up against the wall.

You gazed into Pein's eyes as he did to yours. You were so close, you could feel his breath. He gazed at you so sweetly, you could have never thought that a man with piercings throughout his body would have soft eyes.

"Uhm, Pein..." You started. "W-Why are you so close to me? Did I do something wrong??? Are you mad?" You asked trying to keep your cool.

"No, you didn't."

"Oh, then wh-"

"Are you ready to leave?" He asked cutting you off in the middle of your sentence.

"H-Hai sir." You said trying your hardest not to lean in and kiss him.

It was obvious he wanted full body contact just by the way he was leaning his whole body on you. Without realizing it you pushed your hips forward into his. He smiled and you realized what you did. You immediatly pulled back.

"Let's go." He said as he removed himself from being so close to you.

He started to walk away while you hurried back into your room and grabbed your things. You ran after him. On the way to catch up with Pein you passed Hidan and Kakuzu, you glanced at them and saw them smirk.

"Have fun." Hidan said laughing.

Why's everyone making a big deal about this mission? You thought to yourself. It can't be that important, can it?

My First Romance ~Pein Love Story~ Chapter 18

“Pein…” You began. “Hahaha good question.”

“Awh c’mon Saffron-chan, you know he’s not that bad.” Sasori noted.

“Uhm hello?” Who are we talking about here?” Uki cut in.

“Pein. The man I fell in love with.” You admitted not willing to hide it from anyone anymore, except for Pein.

“Awh how cute! How long have you all been together?” Uki asked.

“Haha, if only…” You started. “I fell in love with Pein when I first saw him. A little thing you’d like to call love at first sight. I never believed in any of that stuff anyway, so I don’t know what happened…” You trailed off. “Anyway we went through a lot my first couple of days; I was completely immature and did some things I’m definitely not proud of. I know that if I wouldn’t have done them then me and Pein would have probably gotten off to a way better start.”

“What did you do?” Uki asked.

“I’m not willing to say it out loud and in public, but I tried to run away, which that didn’t work out to well because Pein found me and brought me back to base. I woke up and we had a little argument but we worked it out.”

“How?” Uki was apparently fond of asking questions.

“He admitted his feelings, and the way he felt towards me, but not in the ‘I love you’ way. Ever since then we’ve been getting along great and I really hope it stays that way, and I pray I don’t mess anything up. For some reason I feel like I need him.” You finished.

“Awh, how sweet.” Zetsu’s black side said sarcastically.

“It’s a girl thing, you wouldn’t understand.” Ukisaki cut in for you.

“I understand.” Sasori said.

“Hahaha, sure.” Uki said completely unaware of his and Konan’s wonderful relationship.

“I do. I’ve been in a relationship with Konan, another girl in our organization, for quite some time now, and I’m happy, for once. She told me everything, how she started to grow feelings for me the moment we became partners, and how the whole girl thing goes.” Sasori added.

You and Uki were shocked that a boy could feel like that but not think its boring or a waste of time at the same time. You really respected Sasori.

“Well I have no idea.” Zetsu interrupted. “I don’t have a lover.” He added.

“Awh! You’ll find one someday!” You said trying to cheer him up, the thing was he wasn’t down.

“No! I don’t want one. I’m perfectly content with how I am. Beside’s even if I did find a lover I’d probably eat her.” Zetsu added with a small smirk.

“What?” Uki asked eyes wide.

Everyone laughed.

“Haha Zetsu’s a cannibal, but don’t worry he’s not aloud to eat anyone in the organization or he’ll get killed by Pein-sama.” You told her.

“Oh.” Uki said.

“Yeah.” You agreed.

“Oh, one more thing Uki.” Sasori cut in.

“Yes?”

“Only Saffron-chan is allowed to call Leader-sama by his name. For everyone else, like you, me, and Zetsu, we refer to him as Leader-sama, understand?” Sasori questioned.

“Hai!” She nodded in agreement.

On the way back you ran into a little trouble. Hidden Leaf ninja’s. Though not one of them recognized you, thankfully. You fought them off with ease, only killing two. You tried your hardest not to kill your old companions. Luckily you didn’t have to, Sasori and Uki took care of them. You finally witnessed some of Uki’s fighting skills and you were impressed. Once you were finished with fighting the ninja’s of the Hidden Leaf Village you headed back to base. When you finally arrived Sasori and Zetsu did multiple hand signs and the huge bolder blocking the door lifted up letting the four of you enter. You walked into base and walked to the main area where everyone was focused on the T.V screen. It was your turn to introduce Uki to the rest of the gang.

“Okay Ukisaki, you ready to meet the rest of the crew?” You asked her.

She nodded her head profusely.

“Oh yes. Especially this Hidan character.” She added.

“Haha alright well then let’s go.” You said as you and Uki walked into the main room. All eyes locked on Uki. You noticed Uki blush when Itachi looked at her. You leaned over and whispered into her ear.

“That’s Itachi Uchiha; he has that effect on all the women. He did the same to me.” You said.

“Oh well which one is Hidan?” She asked obviously really wanting to meet Hidan.

“I’ll get to him.” You whispered back.

All eyes were locked on the two of you, watching you mumble into each others ears. Finally you spoke up.

“Okay everyone, this is Ukisaki, but you can call her Uki for short, understood?” You asked.

You got a couple of nods, and ‘yeahs’ in return.

“Okay so Uki, I’m gonna start from the same side of the room that Deidara did.”

“Now starting from over here, this is Uchiha Itachi.” You said.

“Hi Itachi, nice to meet you.” Uki said with a smile.

Itachi just looked at her.

“Next we have Deidara and Tobi.” She said pointing to both of the men. “Don’t be afraid of Tobi.” You added.

“Hi Deidara, and hello Tobi.” Ukisaki said with a smile plastered onto her face.

“HIYA UKI-CHAN!” Tobi yelled from where he was sitting, encouraging a couple of cold stares from the other people in the room.

“Haha, hello Tobi.”

“Okay, then Konan.” You said pointing to Konan

“Hey!” Uki said politely.

“Why hello.” Konan replied.

“Next we have Kisame, then Kakuzu.” You said pointing them out to Uki.

“Hey…” Uki said nervously.

“Don’t worry, they won’t hurt you.” You whispered into her ear.

Kisame and Kakuzu returned a simple nod.

“And then we have Hidan.” You said with a smile on your face, wanting to see her reaction.

“H-Hi Hidan.” Uki was finally able to spit out.

“Damn, another babe. Leader-sama’s doing good.” Hidan said with a small chuckle.

~Ukisaki's P.O.V~
Once Saffron-chan pointed Hidan out to me I almost fainted. He's gorgeous. Though it feels like he's been staring at me the whole time I've been here.

“Oh and Hidan guess what?” You said drawing everyone’s attention, especially Hidan’s and Uki’s.

“What?” He asked raising an eyebrow.

“Ukisaki here also practices the Jashin faith.” You simply said.

You heard the rest of Akatsuki curse silently. You chuckled.

“Really?” Hidan asked, trying not to get to overly excited.

“Yes.” Uki answered for you. “Yes I do.”

“Well then, looks like Hidan has a new room-mate.”

Someone interrupted from behind.

“But not a new partner, Hidan you will remain Kakuzu’s partner, but share a room with Ukisaki. That way you will finally get what you want. No one to talk about how stupid your religion is. Ukisaki will be working alone, since no one here has a jutsu that compliments hers. Kakuzu you will now be sharing a room with Zetsu. Now hopefully we will have some peace and quite around here.” He finished.

Uki turned around and gazed into his hypnotic eyes.

"You must be Pein..uh..er..Leader-sama." Uki corrected herself.

"Saffron-chan has told me so much about you." She added.

You immediately turned red, hoping Uki wouldn’t over-do-it.

“Ah, I see.” Pein answered in response.

“How sweet of you Saffron-chan.” Pein said now looking at you amused.

You were still bright red and at a loss of words.

“Now I hope these things she said were good things?” Pein asked.

“Oh yes, very good things.” Uki added once more.

A smile grew on Pein’s face as he glanced over at you. You could have sworn you saw him wink.

My First Romance ~Pein Love Story~ Chapter 17

Okay so for this chapter I'm introducing a new character. Her name is Ukisaki (you-key-saki). Don't be a hater, and no she's not going to try and take Pein from Saffron, she has her eye's on a certain someone else. (Oh and btw this is probably going to be the worst chapter in the whole story, I was really tired when I wrote this, so I made it super short and straight to the point with little or no action or drama, and I tried to hurry up and get this chapter up for you all. So I wrote it super fast. So cut me a little credit guys. I'm so sorry if it's terrible guys. I promise Chapter 18 will be good.)


Ukisaki: Has orange hair and blue eyes. A very pretty girl. Her background is unknown. She's very sarcastic and a spaz. I have a feeling you're gonna like her.

"Pein just come with me on this one!" You whined.

"No, I'm busy."

"So! C'mon, pleeeeasseeee!'

"Saffron, I said no. Take Zetsu or something." Pein answered annoyed.

"Fine. That just proves that you don't care about me." You said as you walked out of the room.

"Now Saffron you know that's not tru-"

You slammed the door shut cutting Pein off in the middle of his sentence.

~Pein's P.O.V~
This is harder than I thought.

"You almost ready Zetsu?" You called from outside of his door.

"Yes." You heard him say. Probably his white side, since his black side was always so negative.

Zetsu opened his door and stepped out. You and Zetsu were walking down the hallway carrying on a three way conversation. You both heard someone yell something from behind you. You recognized the voice.

"Be carful you guys, Zetsu take good care of her!" Pein yelled from down the hall.

Zetsu nodded, you didn't even turn around, you threw your hand in the air to say 'yeah whatever' then put your hand back down and kept walking.

~Pein's P.O.V~
Fuck, even when she ignores me she's hot as hell. Beautiful and perfect. I have to make her my own. And soon.

You and Zetsu were on a mission to find another young girl for the Akatsuki.

"What's her name?" You ask.

"Ukisaki." Zetsu replied.

"That means 'The Blessed' right?" You asked reffering to her name.

"Yes." Zetsu's black side answered.

"Awh how pretty."

"Pein's picking out all of the pretty ladies, I wonder which one he really wants." Zetsu's black side continued. "Shut up." His white side said.

You shot Zetsu the nastiest look possible.

"Shut up." You said pissed.

Zetsu's black side just chuckled.

You spotted her sitting alone on a rock looking up at the sky.

~Saffron's P.O.V~
Awh, she's gorgeous.

You told Zetsu to wait there while you approached her. You walked up to her slowly. She sensed you and turned around with a huge smile on her face, which made you confused.

"AKATSUKI!!!!!" She screamed. She ran up to you and gave you the biggest hug possible. "Thank Jashin you're here! Now get me out of this hell hole!"

"Jashin?" You questioned. "Wait you worship Jashin too?" You asked.

"Yeah, why? Do you know someone else that does?" She asked.

"Yes, he's quite a loud mouth." You answered.

"HE?!?" She yelled. "Is he hot??? What's his name?" She asked shaking you.

"Well, uhm...I'm not gonna say whether or not I think he's hot, I like someone else, but his name is Hidan." You answered her.

"We need to go." Zetsu interrupted.

"This wasn't much of a mission." You said. "She's coming so willingly."

"Just like you did." Sasori said as he stepped out from behind a tree.

"Sasori? What are you doing here?" You asked confused.

"Leader-sama sent me here, he wanted me to make sure you were safe."

"But....she didn't try to hurt me." You answered.

"Yes, he knew she wouldn't argue. He wanted me to come to protect you from anyone who tries to hurt you from a village, or from someone who would want to hold you hostage." He finished.

You just stared blankly at him.

"I'm Ukisaki." She interrupted, holding her hand out to Sasori.

"I know who you are." He answered while just looking at her hand.

"You're supposed to shake it." You whispered to Sasori.

"I know." He said as he started to walk away.

Ukisaki lowered her hand while staring at the ground.

"It's okay, he's actually nice once you get to know him." You told her.

"Like I said before, we need to go." Zetsu interrupted once more.

"Okay okay fine." Ukisaki said.

You all started towards the base, talking about random things.

"Oh by the way Ukisaki, Pein is Saffron's." Sasori said with a smile.

"Who's Pein?" Ukisaki asked. "Oh and just call me Uki." She added.

You walked down the corridors for a while, not knowing what to do. You finally decided to go play tag with Tobi. Even though you always lose. You walked to Tobi’s room and knocked on the door.

“What’s the password?” Tobi said from inside the room.

“Tobi is a good boy.” You replied sarcastically.

“Yay!” Tobi yelled and swung open the door, you laughed and walked inside.

“So Tobi, you wanna play tag?” You asked.

Tobi jumped up and down screaming wildly.

“Hahaha okay, take it easy Tobi.” You said as you started to laugh.

You looked over and saw Hidan sitting in the corner of Tobi’s room staring at
you. You didn’t realize he was in there.

“Oh hey Hidan.” You said with a smile.

“Hey.” Hidan said smoothly. You blushed.

You heard Hidan chuckle and he got up from where he was standing. You looked over at Tobi for a moment and saw that he looked impatient.

“I’m ready for the game! Stop distracting her Hidan!!” Tobi yelled.

“Oh sorry, I’m not distracting you, am I?” Hidan asked and raised an eyebrow at you.

“Hahahahaha, no.” You said nervously as Hidan got closer to you.

“Yay! Let’s go!” Tobi yelled and grabbed you and Hidan both by the arm and dragged you outside to play tag.

“TAG YOU’RE IT!” Tobi screamed at the top of his lungs as he poked you lightly.

“Hahaha fine!” You yelled and started to chase after him.

Tobi ran up tree’s, to the lake, around the base, but you could never catch him. You saw Tobi trip over a tree branch that had fallen and you busted up laughing. You were rolling on the ground laughing so hard that you didn’t even realize Pein had walked outside to watch you all.

“No one would think this is what Akatsuki would do in their spare time.” Pein mumbled to himself as he watched you and Tobi.

Hidan walked up to you and put his hand on your back.

“Hahaha, you okay Saffron-chan?” Hidan asked sweetly.

“Ha, ye-, Hahahahaha! Yes!” You were finally able to spit out. Hidan just laughed as he watched you. At this point everyone was laughing at something stupid.

“Here let me help you up.” Hidan said as he bent down and grabbed you by the waist to help you up. He pulled you up as you continued to chuckle.

“I love you Tobi.” You said.

“Tobi is a good boy!” Tobi yelled.

“Hahaha yes, we’ve gathered that.” Hidan said.

“Hey Hidan, why is your arm around Saffron-chan?” Tobi asked pointing to
Hidan’s arm that was now wrapped more tightly than it was before.

~Pein’s P.O.V~
Yeah why is his arm around her waist?

“Oh, haha, I guess I forgot to release when I helped her up, sorry Saffron-chan.” Hidan politely apologized.

“Oh it’s okay!”

The rest of the afternoon was spent doing nothing. You and Tobi were goofing off and laughing for a little while more. Tobi was chasing you around the base for fun. Pein was watching from the sideline.

“Tobi I thought tag was over!” You yelled as you tried to escape him.

“It is!” He yelled.

“Haha!”

All of a sudden you ran into something hard and fell on your butt.

“Oh I’m sorry.” You said as you got up.

“Here let me help.” Hidan’s voice was low but caring.

You took his hand and let him help you up. There was a piece of hair that was out of place hanging in front of your right eye. You moved it over but you couldn’t get it to stay in place. All of a sudden you felt Hidan’s hand brush against your face as he removed the piece of hair and tucked it behind your ear for you. You blushed a blood red color. Pein was watching and getting angry. Hidan kept looking at you, smiling a gentle and warm smile.

“That’s enough.” Pein interrupted. “Hidan you’re excused. Saffron come with me.” Pein said trying to keep his cool.

“Why, what’s wrong?” Hidan asked.

“You know exactly what’s wrong, now you’re dismissed!” Pein shouted.

Hidan walked away smiling. His work had been done.

Hopefully Saffron-chan noticed. Hidan thought to himself. If not then all of that was worthless.

“What’s wrong Pein-sama?” You asked as you looked up at him. Pein walked over to the couch and sat down, you followed.

“What was that?” He asked trying to cool off.

“What was what?” You asked.

“You and Hidan…did you not realize it?” Pein asked.

“Yes I did…..” You said. “But I wasn’t going to do anything, I promise Pein-sama because you’re…”

“I’m what?”

You looked over at Pein and got up from off the couch. You turned around and looked back down at him. He was looking up at you with curiosity. You sat down on his lap and snuggled your head into his neck, there was that intoxicating smell again. Pein’s eyes went wide but he didn’t push you off.

“I’m what?” He asked again.

“You’re ruining it.” You said.

“Ruining what?”

“The cuddle, now shhh!” You put your left index finger on his lips; his lips of course were soft.

You eventually removed your hand and just sat there. Pein didn’t move or try to move you, and you didn’t move either.

“I’m what?” He finally whispered into your ear when you weren’t expecting it.

Do I finally admit my feelings for him? You thought to yourself. But it’s too soon!! Oh no, what do I do? You thought trying not to freak out.

“You’re…well…uhm….you’re…” You started. “I just feel closer to you then I do to anybody else here, and I don’t want you to ever think that you’ll be replaced, because trust me you will never be replaced.” You finished.

“And same for you darling.” He whispered.

You melted at the sound of his voice and sunk deeper into his lap and wrapped your arm around one side of his waist not letting go. You could feel his muscles through his clothing and you felt safe, and warm.

I love you Pein. You thought to yourself.

~Pein's P.O.V~
I woke up early the next morning with chills, the same way I had fallen asleep the night before. I have been thinking about Saffron way to much. Why though? I just feel like I need to keep her safe. Luckily for her she wont be sent out on many missions since I'm her partner and stuck here most of the time. Well at least she's safe. Konan couldn't be right, could she? I even told myself I wouldn't let her get to me! But when she ran off and I found her I was so scared something had happened to her. I hate this feeling.

"Ugh...mmm...ahh." You moaned loudly not wanting for the day to start just yet, you loved your sleep.

"Haha, who're you dreaming about?"

"What if I said you?" You asked Pein looking up at him playfully. Seeing that he was fully awake and sitting on the side of the bed in just his black boxers. -hot

"Well then..." Pein said laughing looking back down at you.

"How'd you sleep?" He asked.

"Great." You said smiling.

"You?"

"Let's just say it was the best sleep I've gotten in a long time." Pein answered.

"Awh, that's good." You said fully unaware that it was because of you.

"Yeah."

"Ugh! I probably look like crap. I always do in the morning." You ducked underneath the covers.

"No." Pein said softly removing the covers.

"Bleh!"

"Haha, really you don't. But I'm gonna go take a shower." Pein said.

"Ok, sweetie." You said then sat up and streched with a loud yawn.

Pein smiled at you softly, loving what you just called him.

~Saffron's P.O.V~
Did I just call him sweetie?

You stayed in bed for a while longer till you realized you had to pee, you quickly got out of bed and hurried to the bathroom, only to remember that Pein-sama was occupying the bathroom. You hurried to Hidan's room. Knowing he was probably up praying. Hidan's the only other person with a bathroom. You ran into his room not even knocking and ran into his bathroom. You went to the bathroom, apologizing to Hidan on your way out. You walk into the main room and turned on the T.V. Itachi walks in and takes a seat next to you, joining you in the television program.

"OMG! Itachi did you know that if you watch to much T.V. you'll go stupid!?" You yelled at him.

"Omg?"

"Yes. Oh my gosh." You answered.

"Yes I knew that, to bad for you something already beat the T.V. to it." Itachi said.

"Really Itachi? Really? Like seriously?" You asked glaring at him. "Haha you're so funny. I'm not stupid." You said sticking your tongue out at him.

Itachi just smiled. You left Itachi to watch T.V. on his own. You walked back into your room hoping Pein was still in there, you wanted to spend some more time with him. You walk in and see Pein standing in the bathroom doorway with a towel around his waist, drying off his hair. -hot

"Hey." He said calmly as he continued to dry off his hair with the red towel.

"Hi." You said nervously and softly, trying to keep your eyes from wandering.

Pein noticed and smiled.

"I'll let you get dressed." You said not caring if your eyes wandered anymore.

"Alright." Pein replied.

"Bye Leader-sama." You said as you started walking to the door.

"You know what? I changed my mind. Call me Pein, but only you." Pein answered.

You noticed Pein's towel around his waist had dropped extremely low, and extremely close to something you wanted to see. You finally snapped back to reality after gawking at him for about thirty seconds.

"Okay, good 'cause thats what I was doing all along." You replied.

Pein laughed as you walked out of the room.

'Knock 'Knock 'Knock

“C’mon in, I don’t care.” You heard Sasori say from inside the door.

You walk in and see that his room is surprisingly clean.

“So need something?” Sasori asked looking impatient.

“No, I just wanted to talk. I’m sorry, did I interrupt you?” You asked looking down to the puppet he was working on.

“Yeah sorta, but it’s okay.” He said politely.

“You sure?”

“Yeah.”

“Okay, so…how have you been?” You asked while taking a seat on his bed.

“I’ve been good; I’ve just been busy working on my puppets for the mission Leader-sama is sending me on soon.”

“Oh okay. So show me how they work.” You said pointing to Sasori’s wooden friends.

“Well,” he started.

“Well make your move.”

“What are you talking about?”

“You know exactly what I’m talking about, but if you don’t make your move soon then who knows. She could end up with Itachi, or Deidara or maybe even Hidan.” Konan said looking Pein dead in the eyes.

“I’m her leader, not her lover.” Pein argued back.

“Yeah but…don’t you wish you wish you were both?”

“This is going nowhere.” Pein said as he walked out of the room.

“Okay Leader-sama, but we all know that it is going somewhere!” Konan yelled at him.

“Who the hell are you yelling at?” Hidan said approaching Konan.

“Leader-sama.” She replied. “Hey can you do me a huge favor?” Konan asked with an evil grin.

“Ok?”

“What do you think about Saffron?”

“She’s hot as hell.” Hidan said with a smile. “But remember she’s Leader-sama’s.”

“Exactly.” Konan replied still grinning.

“Where is this going?” Hidan asked.

“Well it’s obvious Leader-sama likes her, so if we can make him jealous in front of Saffron who knows what he’ll admit.” Konan replied.

“Ahhh, so you want me to hit on Saffron in front of Leader-sama and see if he gets mad or shows any emotion?” Hidan asked.

“Exactly.” Konan said.

“Alright, I’m up for it.” Hidan responded.

“Alright, just don’t go too far. I don’t want you getting killed by Leader-sama.” Konan said.

“As if he could kill me.” Hidan said smiling.

“Oh, so cool!” You replied.

“Thanks.” Sasori said smiling.

“No problem.” You said returning the smile.

“So you like Leader-sama?” Sasori asked glancing up at you from his puppets then back down.

I guess there’s no use of hiding it anymore. You thought to yourself.

“Yes.” You admitted with a heavy sigh.

“Hey! Like I said before, everything’s gonna be okay.” Sasori said.

“Yeah, I guess.” You said. “I’m gonna go now. Bye Sasori.”

“Bye.”

You get up and left, it was getting late and you were ready for bed. You walked around the base saying ‘Goodnight’ to everyone. Then slipping into the bathroom you took a quick shower and put on your pajama’s. You walked out of the bathroom and slid into bed. You got comfortable and realized that there was something heavy lying beside you. You turn and see that Pein was already in bed. You stared at the muscles in his back. You were wishing he was facing you so you could see his face. You let out a small sigh and just stared at his back.

“Pein…” You whispered softly.

You traced the outline of his spine and shoulder blades, and the rest of his muscles with your finger.

“Perfection…” You whispered.

Pein smiled and fell asleep under your touch.

"Well Pein, this is awkward." You said as you looked away and blushed.

"Yeah just a little." He answered back.

Still neither one of you moved. You stayed in Pein's arms for a little while longer.

"Awh look at the two love birds." Konan laughed as she approached you two. "C'mon Saffron, lets go have a little talk." Konan yanked you out of Pein's arms as you let out a small whine.

"Don't worry Pein, I'll return her to your arms safe and sound, literally I will." Konan added.

Pein rolled his eyes and walked off. Konan was pulling you down the hallway laughing. You weren't really walking so she had to pull you along. You kept looking back to watch Pein walk away. Before you knew it you were in Konan's room.

"GIRL TALK!" She yelled and broke you out of your trance.

"Oh huh? Haha sorry." You replied back.

"So spill it. You choose Pein as your little lover boy?" She asked with a huge smile.

"What makes you think that?" You asked looking away.

"Well considering the fact that you're still bright red, like you were when you were in his arms." Konan said laughing.

"Not true."

"Oh yes it is, I think it's cute that you like Pein. Does he like you back?" Konan asked.

"I doubt it."

"Why?"

"Well I mean he said he cared about me, and as the man he felt like he needed to protect me, but I don't think he meant in a loving way. And besides I don't want to mess up our relationship as friends. We just made up for what happened when I first got here. I'm not really aiming to ruin that." You said half-heartedly.

"Oh okay, so he does like you?" Konan asked obviously not getting the point.

You let out a small sigh.

"I wish."

"Ah ha! So you do like him!" Konan yelled.

"Konan keep it down! i dont want the rest of the guys to figure out, so far only Sasori knows...and you now."

"Oh Sasori knows? You told him before you told me? Jerk." Konan said with a small laugh.

"Haha and possibly Deidara." You added. "But I need to tell you something."

"Yes?" Konan asked.

"I have strong feelings for Pein, but...when I'm around Itachi I like him too. And I know that's terrible, but Itachi just has this aloof attitude that I love. I don't know what I'm getting into and I'm scared. if Pein does like me back, and he see's me make a wrong move towards Itachi because I can't keep my mind out of the gutter, I don't think I could take seeing Pein get upset or get mad. I don't want to go through that. I'm worried." You admitted.

"Ah, the basic love triangle. Well it's simple. If you know you might have a chance with Pein the stick with him. And it'll make it even easier if you know for a fact that Itachi doesn't like you. That way you wont have to worry about Pein and Itachi getting into an argument over you!"

"Yeah, you're right, and besides I wouldn't have gone through all of this just to let go of Pein. I know he's the one. Thanks Konan." You said getting up and heading towards the door.

"Woah wait, where are you going?" She asked making it obvious that she didn't want you to leave just yet.

"There's someone I need to talk to." You said and left.

Konan followed close behind you, but you didn't notice. You walked down the hallway till you found Itachi and walked up to him.

"Hey can we talk?" You asked.

Itachi just looked at you and nodded. You guys walked to a secluded area, with Konan listening in the doorway.

"So Itachi..." You started. "You don't like me right?" You asked.

"No." He answered almost immediatly.

"Okay good. Thanks Itachi." You said getting up and walking to the door. Konan stepped infront fo you.

"Wait, that's all you had to do?" Konan asked. "That's what was so important? You made that dramatic exit like you needed to go talk to Pein about your love for him, with the whole "There's someone I need to talk to." thing and make me really suspicious. And this is what you had to do? And you didn't even make it interesting, you got right to the point with the question too, thats no fun." Konan said.

You just laughed and walked away.

"I love you Konan." You said as you walked past her. Leaving her staring at Itachi in confusion.

"That woman." Itachi said. "She's so strange."

"Yeah." Konan agreed.

You walked aimlessly around the base, talking to Kisame, Deidara, and Tobi. You went with Tobi to go get something to eat, came back and sat around the base for a little while.

:Man is there anything else to do?" You asked.

"You could do Pein." Konan said with a laugh.

"Hahaha very funny Konan." You said sarcastically.

You both looked up and saw Pein standing in the doorway.

"Did you hear that?" Konan asked Pein.

"Yes." He said bluntly.

"Oh wow." You said nervously.

"Now what?" Konan asked.

"Uhm, I don't know." You said still sounding nervous.

"Oh wait I made Pein a promise." Konan said.

You and Pein both looked at her in confusion. Konan got up and grabbed you by the arm. She yanked you up from where you were sitting and pulled you to Pein. Konan let go of your arm and grabbed Pein's. She then set his arms around your waist and pushed you into him.

"There, safe and sound in your arms just as I promised." Konan said laughing.

All three of you just stood there. You were blushing and you were pretty sure Pein could feel the heat coming off of your face.

"Uhm, I'm hungry, I'm gonna go get something to eat. Bye guys!" You said as you let go of Pein and rushed past him.

"But you just ate!" Konan yelled after you.

You didn't listen and left Konan and Pein in the room.

They're probably gonna talk about me. You thought to yourself as you went to go talk to Sasori.
