My First Romance ~Pein Love Story~ Chapter 20

You wandered throughout the halls waiting for Pein to get ready. You thought hard on what the mission could be, but you couldn't come up with any explanations as to why everyone was acting so strange.

"Ready to go?" Pein said with a small smirk.

Well he looks excited. You thought to yourself.

"Mhmm." You replied.

You and Pein both said your 'goodbye's' to everyone and set out on your mission. You traveled for a good couple of hours till you started to realize that you weren't headed towards a village. You realized that Pein was taking you somewhere else.

"Uhm, Pein, where are we going?" You asked out of pure curiosity.

"You'll see soon." He answered.

It was getting dark and you still hadn't arrived at your destination yet.

I'm getting cold. You thought to yourself.

It was hot when you left so you left your cloak behind.

"Pein-sama, hand over your cloak." You nearly demanded.

"Why?" He asked looking over at you raising an eyebrow.

"Uhm, I'm freezing duh!" You said with a huge grin.

"Hahaha alright, here." Pein replied as he took off his cloak with ease and handed it to you.

You slipped it on and inhaled his amazing scent.

"You uhmmm...smell good Pein-sama." You said blushing only a little.

"Ha, thanks." He said with a small blush as well.

"Well we're here." Pein said.

You looked around and saw a beautiful sea, and if you looked far enough you could see land, probably another country. You saw a dock leading out far into the waters, and at the end a round seating area with a circular top to block any rain. The sun was setting. It was pretty romantic.

"Well I hope this mission doesn't destroy this place, it's incredibly beautiful." You said to Pein still admiring what was surrounding you.

"Saffron-chan, haven't you figured it out yet? This isn't a mission. I just thought we could come here to get away." Pein said while also looking around.

He turned back to you and just stared. You were too busy looking out into the sea to see him.

"Oh wow Pein, that's so sweet. Thank you." You said turning to him while ending your sentence.

You noticed that he had been staring and you blushed and walked to him. You wrapped your arms around his perfectly fit body and stared up at him.

"You're amazing." You say as he hugged back and stared down at you.

"Awh." He said with a hint of sarcasm.

"Pein!" You said slapping his arm.

"I was being serious." You looked at the ground and blushed once more.

"I know, I'm sorry." He said.

You went to pull away from his grip but he didn't let go. Instead he walked you out onto the dock and you walked together to the end and sat down.

"Why did you want to get away?" You asked him.

"It was so cramped at the base, we had no time to be alone, and I hated it."

"Oh." You responded quitely.

You and Pein sat and talked. You had left your bags at where you were standing before Pein brought you to the circular sitting area. You could tell it was about to rain, but you didn't go pick up your bags to bring them under the shelter, you left them were they were. You both stopped talking and gazed out into the sea. You could see Pein glance at you out of the corner of his eye once or twice, but that didn't bother you since you did the same. You could smell the rain in the air and you loved it. You could tell it was raining off into the distance of the sea, and knew it was approaching.

"I've always loved the rain, ever since I was a child." You said softly, not trying to disrupt the peace.

"Really?" Pein asked.

"Me too."

"Oh." You replied.

"It's just so relaxing. When I was a child I had a tin roof over my room in my house. I would lay in bed and listen to the sound of the raindrops hit my roof. It was so relaxing and it put me to sleep everynight. I loved it."

"That does sound relaxing." Pein agreed. "This is nice, huh?" He asked.

"Oh, try more like heaven. Thank you so much for bringing me here Pein. Can we do it again sometime?" You asked.

Drip drip drip.

"Of course." Pein answered.

Drip drip drip drip.

"Well looks like the rains finally reached us." You said as you looked out onto the sea and saw waves building up. Though none of them looked high enough to reach where you guys were sitting on the dock.

"Pein..." You started.

"Hmm?" He asked looking at you.

You stood up, which made him look at you with curiosity. You grabbed his hand and pulled him up. He smiled at your touch. You walked him over to the edge of the roof. You weren't facing the sea anymore, but infact the dock. He looked at you.

~Pein's P.O.V~
What's so interesting about the dock?

You took a step out into the rain and were instantly drenched. Pein looked at you shoked.

"I love standing in the rain." You started. "You should try it." You finished as you pulled him out into the rain and leaned your chest on his.

You gazed into each other's eyes and you thought it over and decided it was time.

Enough holding back. You thought to yourself, as you felt your heart racing and butterflies looking for an exit in your stomach.

You leaned foward with your lips on centimeters away from Pein's, ready for the kiss of a lifetime.

But...Pein hesitated...

CLIFFHANGER!
